BOOKING, PAYMENT, CANCELLATION, INCLEMENT WEATHER, & TRAVEL POLICIES
BOOKING: For all portrait sessions; a non-fundable session retainer of $50.00 is required to book and hold the date for your session and serves as a cancellation fee. However, the fee can be credited towards a future session upon the photographers approval. All remaining balances are due at the time of the session.
FOR WEDDING PACKAGES: a $50.00 retainer is due immediately to book and hold the date of your event and also serves as a cancellation fee. The remaining balance is due one (1) week before the date of the wedding. You can break this up into multiple payments however you see fit. Ask about our payment plans.
PAYMENT: All sessions and orders (plus taxes) can be paid via cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. If a client pays by check, the check must clear and any uncleared check will have an additional charge of $35 to cover bank fees. The remainder at this time must be paid.
Payment is due by the end of the session, no exceptions. If you want to create a payment plan, it must be set up prior to the session and approved by GVNP. We accept cash or check, or you can pay your invoice directly with credit card (there is a 3% credit card transaction fee for the credit card option.) If payment is not received in full within 30 days after the session date, a reoccurring late fee of $25.00 will be billed each month until the invoice is paid in full. This can go on for 5 consecutive months. On the 181st day after your session, if the invoice is still not paid in full, the photos will go into the vault and there will be an additional $500 fee to get them out in addition to the remaining balance and all late fees accrued. No images will be given until the invoice is paid in full.
CANCELLATION POLICY: For portrait sessions, client forfeits their session retainer paid to book the session. As previously stated, the fee can be credited towards a future session if the client reschedules the appointment by calling 48 hours prior to the date of session and re-booking at an agreeable date and time.
FOR WEDDING AND EVENTS: If for any reason the Client cancels before the wedding date, the Photographer will keep the the event retainer fee paid to hold the wedding or event date as a cancellation fee. Cancellation must be made and sent in writing, by mail or e-mail. However, if the client requires to change the wedding date, I will do my best to accommodate the change and no fee will be charged as long as the new date is available and within five months of the original event date. If I am not available for the new date, the original agreement will be cancelled and subject to the cancellation policy.
If Giovanna von Nida Photography cannot perform this photo session due to fire or other casualty, strike, act of God, or other cause beyond the control of the parties, or due to Photographer’s illness or emergency, then the Photographer shall return the retainer fee to the Client but shall have no further liability with respect to the agreement. This limitation on liability shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or other media malfunction, lost in the mail, or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the Photographer.
INCLEMENT WEATHER: Giovanna von Nida Photography will reschedule sessions at the discretion of the client or photographer if the appointment day or time booked ends up being a day that it is raining, snowing, sleeting, hailing, super cold or hot, or for any other unfavorable inclement weather condition that presents itself. We typically use the following Wednesday after the session or another day and time that works for both the Client and Giovanna von Nida Photography to reschedule within 2 weeks from the original appointment. There are times when a light snow or light rain can be beautiful for pictures, and in these cases we can discuss if that would be an option for your session.
TRAVEL POLICY: Giovanna von Nida Photography will travel up to 100 miles round trip as a part of the session fee. Any location that is over 100 miles round trip from Old Monroe, MO 63369, is subject to a $25.00 travel fee plus $.50 per mile, up to 250 miles total roundtrip. Anything over 250 miles round trip is subject to being a classified as a destination wedding.
DESTINATION WEDDINGS: We will travel over 250 miles roundtrip for destination weddings. Please reach out for a customized quote if you are interested in this option.
LOCATIONS FOR SESSIONS: Once the appointment is booked, and the deposit paid, we will email you a location list of over 15 + potential locations to choose from that are within our travel area. If you have a different location in mind that you would like to use for your session, that is no problem.
GIFT CERTIFICATES: Giovanna von Nida Photography does offer gift certificates for most of our sessions. If you are interested in gifting a session to someone, please contact us for more details.
